Peter is bored. He had to go to his grandfather's because his parents want to hunt a wolf. But his grandfather is just sleeping or looking for his glasses. So Peter sneaks out of the garden early in the morning, taking the duck and cat with him. Events soon come thick and fast. Lorenz Pauli, the gifted stage poet from Bern, stays close to the original text and yet tells the story in his very own voice in a Swiss-German version that captivates young and old alike. Prokofiev has also given his characters their own musical voices. Bird, Duck, Cat, Peter and the Wolf: who can recognise them?
