On the Road
We have been touring Europe and the world for decades. We have played in more than 100 cities in over 30 countries. This season, we will also be exploring new places and new concert halls.
Concerts in foreign cities and concert halls are a challenge, because the conditions for playing together differ in every location. Travelling together, listening to each other in different acoustic settings, meeting new audiences: all this enriches us and enhances our perception of the music we perform. This is why we always return to our Zurich audience full of inspiration.
When we have success elsewhere, it boosts our self-confidence; this in turn inspires us when we perform at home

We are on the road again in the new season. Even before the start of the Zurich season, we will be performing at the Rheingau Music Festival in Wiesbaden, the Lucerne Festival and in Lugano. This will be followed at the end of October by a major tour of Spain with soloist Lisa Batiashvili, travelling to Alicante, Barcelona, Madrid and Zaragoza. And finally, the orchestra and our focus artist Víkingur Ólafsson will once again perform two concerts at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg in March - as a prelude to a tour that will also take them to Paris, Frankfurt and Cologne. At the last stop in Essen, pianist Anna Vinnitskaya will join the orchestra.
