For two days, the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich will be performing in Zurich's Münsterhof with the newly founded open-air format tonhalleAIR – both with its own concerts and as host.
The Zurich Jazz Orchestra, the Zurich Youth Symphony Orchestra, orchestras and choirs from Superar Suisse and various Zurich school classes will also perform in sing-along and side-by-side concerts. "A festival like this is the most powerful and direct way to be in dialogue with the people of the city," says Paavo Järvi. In future, tonhalleAIR will take place every two years.
