Family Concerts
Family Concerts at the Tonhalle combine music with a story or theme.
Stories are told between the orchestral pieces, which are usually played by the Tonhalle-Orchester Zurich and sometimes by a youth orchestra. The children establish connections, respond to and can thus immerse themselves completely in the music.
Incidentally, there is a very long tradition of family concerts in Zurich: concerts were offered for families as long ago as 1928. They are now given five times per season, mostly on Sundays at 11.15 a.m. and 2.15 p.m.
