Concert recording: Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23

With the pianist Fazıl Say, this work tells a very personal story.

When Fazıl Say sits down behind the piano, something happens - even more so when he plays Mozart. The amount of lightness and melancholy, exuberance and freedom he finds in this music is also evident in his performance of the Piano Concerto No. 23. As close as the soloist and music director Paavo Järvi are orientated towards each other here, the exchange between Fazıl Say and the orchestra is just as intense and personal. First concertmaster Klaidi Sahatçi, who has known the pianist for a long time, sits on the podium. In the video interview, he explains what they have in common, what he would like to ask Mozart and how he came to play the violin in the first place.
