On the Road
We have been touring Europe and the world for decades. We have played in more than 100 cities in over 30 countries. This season, we will also be exploring new places and new concert halls.
Concerts in foreign cities and concert halls are a challenge, because the conditions for playing together differ in every location. Travelling together, listening to each other in different acoustic settings, meeting new audiences: all this enriches us and enhances our perception of the music we perform. This is why we always return to our Zurich audience full of inspiration.
When we have success elsewhere, it boosts our self-confidence; this in turn inspires us when we perform at home

We will again be on the road in the new season: even before the Zurich season begins, we will be guests at the ever-spectacular London Proms. We will then open the Beethoven Festival in Bonn and the Dvorák Festival in Prague – with two concerts at each venue. In addition, we will be playing two concerts at the Enescu Festival in Bucharest. Also in September, we will be making an excursion to Locarno together with pianist Olli Mustonen.
This will be followed by a major tour of Asia in October. The first leg will take us to South Korea, after which we will move to Japan. From Tokyo, where we will be giving two concerts at the renowned Suntory Hall, we will travel by train to the surrounding cities. With us on the road will be pianist Bruce Liu and violinist Bomsori Kim. Both are already celebrated as stars in Asia, but their careers are also on a steep upward trajectory in the West.
Finally, in May we will be giving guest performances in Amsterdam and Basel with our Focus Artist (Fokus-Künstler) Kian Soltani, who will be playing Elgar’s Cello Concerto.
